Tokayev proposed discussing the integration of TRIPP into the Middle Corridor within the C5+1 framework
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposed discussing the integration of the "Trump Route" (TRIPP) into the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR, Middle Corridor) within the "C5+1" cooperation format.
As Report informs, Tokayev made this statement at the VIII Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan in Avaza.
"I believe it would be possible to discuss, initially at the expert level, the integration of the Zangezur Corridor transport initiative into the Middle Corridor. This would expand the existing potential of the TITR and serves the long-term interests of all our states," he said.
Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan attaches particular importance to the development of the Trans-Caspian route, as the dynamics of recent years clearly demonstrate its growing demand.
The President of Kazakhstan stressed that according to World Bank estimates, with the implementation of all set infrastructure objectives by 2040, cargo flow through the Caspian could increase fourfold.
