Six years have passed since the third missile strike by the armed forces of Armenia on the city of Ganja.
On October 8, 2020, as a result of missile shelling by Armenia, residential buildings and vehicles were damaged in Azerbaijan's second largest city.
No residents were injured during the nighttime shelling of the city.
During the 44-day war, Armenian forces subjected Ganja to missile and artillery shelling a total of five times — on October 4, 5, 8, 11, and 17. As a result, 26 people were killed, 175 were wounded, and significant damage was inflicted on civilian infrastructure and vehicles.
In total, during the 44-day war, 93 civilians were killed as a result of Armenia's military aggression, including 12 children and 27 women. Another 454 people were wounded. In addition, a total of 12,292 facilities and 288 vehicles, as well as 1,018 farms, were damaged.
