Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijani-Turkmen relations have been developing dynamically in recent years

Azerbaijani-Turkmen relations have been developing dynamically in recent years.

As reported by AZERTAC, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev during his speech at the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asia in the city of Turkmenbashi.

Emphasizing that since last year there have already been five summit-level visits, the head of state noted: "This reflects the intensity of our political dialogue and our mutual aspiration to further strengthen bilateral ties."

President Ilham Aliyev particularly highlighted the construction of a mosque in the city of Fuzuli on the initiative of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

"Last year, we together participated in the laying of its foundation. This gift from brotherly Turkmenistan to our country is yet another testament to the friendship and spiritual closeness of our peoples," the head of state added.
