Ilham Aliyev: Transport is one of the main areas of cooperation between the Central Asian states and Azerbaijan
One of the main areas of cooperation between Central Asia and Azerbaijan is transport.
As reported by AZERTAC, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev speaking at the VIII Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asia (CA) in the city of Turkmenbashi.
"The Caspian Sea today plays an increasingly important role in the transport interaction of our countries. Transport infrastructure on both shores of the Caspian is of great importance for connecting CA with Azerbaijan and further with international markets," the head of state emphasized.
The President noted that today there is a significant growth in the volume of transportation across the Caspian. "Our common task is to make these routes more efficient and competitive," the head of state added.
