The Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Georgia signed the Istanbul Declaration following the 10th trilateral meeting of foreign ministers in Istanbul.

This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

The document was signed by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Deputy Prime Minister and Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

In the declaration, the parties reaffirmed mutual support for sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the inviolability of borders, and also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in the fields of transport, energy, and trade.

Special attention was given to the role of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and the Southern Gas Corridor in Europe's energy security, as well as the significance of the Middle Corridor and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line.

The parties noted the importance of strengthening regional peace, security, and stability for fully unlocking the potential of the South Caucasus and emphasized the positive role of the three states in this process.

The ministers also highly appreciated Azerbaijan's contribution to hosting the World Urban Forum (WUF13) and expressed support for Turkey's presidency of COP31.

Following the meeting, a decision was made to hold the next 11th ministerial meeting in Georgia in 2027.
