Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to Mohamed Muizzu
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Maldives Mohammed Muizzu.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the message states:
"Dear Mr. President,
On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend to you and your entire nation my most sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the national holiday - the Independence Day of the Republic of Maldives.
We are pleased with the current dynamics of the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the Maldives, as well as the expansion of cooperation of mutual interest. The launch of direct flights between the two countries, as well as the recent mutual visa exemption for holders of ordinary passports, have given an important impetus to the development of people-to-people contacts, particularly tourism.
I am confident that we will continue to make joint efforts aimed at strengthening the friendly relations between our countries, which this year celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and at enriching cooperation of mutual interest with new substance.
On this memorable day, I wish you good health, happiness, and success in your endeavors, and to the friendly people of the Maldives - lasting well-being and prosperity."
