A train with Russian grain departs by rail through Azerbaijan to Armenia
For the first time since the 1990s, grain wagons from Russia have been sent through Azerbaijan to Armenia from the Gmelinskaya station in the Volgograd region.
As BAKU.WS reports with reference to APA, this was announced by the press service of the Privolzhskaya Railway.
It is noted that the first batch, including eight grain carriers, is heading to the Yerevan station.
By the end of this year, 30 wagons of grain are planned to be sent along this route, totaling more than two thousand tons of grain. The press service of the Privolzhskaya Railway also reported that the creation of a new logistics service became possible thanks to the decision to resume transit transportation of goods to Armenia through Azerbaijan.
