Life insurance payouts in Azerbaijan increased by nearly 33%

The volume of life insurance premiums in Azerbaijan in January-June 2026 amounted to 516.448 million manats, which is 8.8% more than a year earlier.

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, life insurance payouts for the reporting period increased by 32.6% to 402.048 million manats.

Over the six months, for every 100 manats of insurance premiums, 77.8 manats were paid out to clients, compared to 63.9 manats a year earlier.

In total, during January-June, 16 insurance companies of Azerbaijan collected 867.396 million manats in insurance premiums, which is 6.2% more compared to the same period of the previous year. The total volume of insurance payouts amounted to 549.682 million manats, having increased by 27.2%. For every 100 manats of insurance premiums, there were 63.4 manats of payouts, compared to 52.9 manats a year earlier.
