If a person who reported corruption dies, their family will be paid 20,000 manats.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oxu.Az, this issue was reflected in the new draft law "On the encouragement and protection of persons reporting offenses related to corruption," which was put forward for discussion at a joint session of the Milli Majlis committees on defense, security and anti-corruption and on legal policy and state building.
It is noted that in the event of the death of a person who reported information about corruption, their family will be paid a lump-sum benefit of 20,000 manats from the budget of the organization where they performed work (services) under an employment contract, civil law contract, or on other grounds (for budget organizations - from the funds allocated for the maintenance of these organizations and extra-budgetary funds).
In the event of bodily injuries sustained by a person who reported information about corruption, they will be paid a lump-sum benefit of 10,000 manats from the budget of the organization where they performed work (services) under an employment contract, civil law contract, or on other grounds (for budget organizations - from the funds allocated for the maintenance of these organizations and extra-budgetary funds).
Damage caused to the property of a person who reported information about corruption shall be compensated in the manner prescribed by regulatory legal acts.
