In one of the Muslim countries, animal sacrifice has been banned

The Moroccan government has suspended the sale and slaughter of animals ahead of the Gurban Bayram holiday. The reason is the ongoing drought in the country and the reduction in livestock numbers.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to haber global, livestock markets in the country are closed. All commercial activities related to the Gurban Bayram holiday have been temporarily suspended. In some regions, control against illegal sales has been strengthened.
According to data, the number of animals has decreased by 38% over the past 7 years. Rainfall levels are also 53% below normal.
The King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, urged the people not to make sacrifices this year. He stated that this ritual will be symbolically performed on behalf of the people.
It is worth noting that similar appeals have been made in the country before - in 1963, 1981, and 1996.
