"Voice of America" and "Radio Liberty" suspended operations following Donald Trump's decree
After US President Donald Trump's decree to liquidate the US Agency for Global Media (USAGM), the radio companies "Voice of America" and "Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty," which are part of this government organization, have suspended their activities.

According to company director Michael Abramowitz, more than 1,300 Voice of America employees were sent on leave following Trump's decision.
According to a congressional report, USAGM's budget for the past year was $886 million, with approximately 3,500 employees hired.
