Scientists revealed new details about the Titanic disaster

Researchers were able to take pictures of the sunken ship "Titanic" from new angles - scientists were amazed by the scale of the holes that led to the disaster on the vessel. This was reported by the Daily Mail.
The footage belongs to Magellan Ltd, a company specializing in deep-sea cartography. During digital scanning, they were able to analyze the condition of the ship's boiler room, where the entire impact occurred, after which the liner split in two.
According to the research, led by John-Key Paika from University College London, the iceberg left holes the size of A4 paper sheets in different compartments of the ship.
- Holes in the hull the size of A4 paper sheets caused the rapid sinking of the vessel - just 2 hours and 40 minutes after the collision with the iceberg, - he clarified.
It was because of the size of the holes that water quickly engulfed the entire "Titanic," the publication reports.
