Russia withdrew from the Barents Sea agreement
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, by his order, denounced the intergovernmental agreement between Russia and Norway, Finland and Sweden on the establishment of the international Barents Secretariat, as well as the agreement with the member countries of the Barents/Euro-Arctic Council on cooperation in the field of emergency situations.

"To denounce the agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Kingdom of Norway, the Government of the Republic of Finland and the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden on the establishment of the international Barents Secretariat for the development of cooperation in the Barents/Euro-Arctic region, signed in Rovaniemi on November 15, 2007, and the agreement between the governments of the member states of the Barents/Euro-Arctic Council on cooperation in the field of prevention, preparedness and response to emergency situations, signed in Moscow on December 11, 2008," the order states.
