Putin said under what condition Russia will cease hostilities in Ukraine
If Ukrainian military leaves the occupied territories, then the Russian Federation will cease hostilities, however, if the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not leave - the Russian Armed Forces will achieve this by military means.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to "Izvestia," this was stated on November 27 by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a press conference following his state visit to Kyrgyzstan.
"If Ukrainian troops leave the territories they occupy - then hostilities will cease. If they do not leave - we will achieve this by military means," he said.
The Russian leader emphasized that positive dynamics are observed in all directions in the conflict zone, and the amount of territories being returned increases month by month. In his opinion, Ukrainian military will inevitably have to retreat from the front if the situation that occurred near Kupyansk repeats itself in other locations.
The Russian President also spoke about growing losses among Ukrainian military. According to Putin, in October Ukrainian formations suffered more than 47,000 losses, while they managed to mobilize only about 16,500 military personnel, which indicates an increasing gap between losses and Ukraine's ability to deploy troops to the front line.
