Iranian missiles struck the Israeli military headquarters in Kiryat

Israel's military headquarters Kirya, considered an analogue of the American Pentagon, was hit by a direct missile strike during a sharp escalation of confrontation between Tehran and Tel Aviv.
"Kirya is Israel's equivalent of the Pentagon. One of the buildings in the complex was just attacked," said Fox News' lead foreign correspondent Trey Yingst during a live broadcast from Tel Aviv, reports Oxu.Az.
"The facility has sustained serious damage." The attack was part of Iran's large-scale response to Israel's actions against nuclear facilities and high-ranking commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
"During the evening, about 150 Iranian ballistic missiles were fired at the country's territory," Yingst noted. "They are aimed not only at civilian objects but also at military infrastructure," the journalist emphasized.
Fox News staff observed the results of strikes in several locations. "An entire district was effectively destroyed, wiped off the face of the earth. Rescuers were sorting through the debris, trying to detect thermal traces of possible victims," the reporter said.
Yingst and his team were forced to seek shelter at the sound of missile sirens: "We had to run to the nearest residential building... One of the [explosions] was so powerful that the building where we were located shook."
Despite the operation of Israel and the US's comprehensive missile defense, including the "Iron Dome," "David's Sling," "Arrow," Patriot, and THAAD systems, some missiles reached their targets.
"The defenses were insufficient to intercept all the missiles. We saw them hitting targets, causing significant destruction and resulting in the death of at least one person," Yingst reported.
He also noted: "Compared to these ballistic missiles, projectiles from Gaza look like children's toys."
Israeli representatives warn of the possibility of new attacks.
"The country remains in a state of high alert and emergency. And this is just the beginning of a rapidly unfolding military conflict between Israel and Iran," Yingst concluded.
