American woman was struck by lightning through a phone charger in her own home, reports the New York Post.

Lisa Henderson temporarily lost her memory after being struck by lightning that entered her home through an electrical outlet. The incident occurred during a thunderstorm when the young woman was lying in bed and browsing social media on her phone, which was charging.

According to Henderson, she noticed a bright light, heard a loud bang, and then a ringing in her ears. Additionally, she felt a tingling sensation in her hands that spread to her right arm and shoulder.

"I instinctively threw the phone away. If I hadn't done that, I could have been electrocuted much more severely," Lisa reported.

After the incident, the young woman was hospitalized, where she experienced difficulty remembering the simplest details, including her own name and age.

"I tried to say my name, but at first I couldn't remember it. The same thing happened with my age," commented the victim.
