Fortune cookie numbers brought a woman $50 thousand

Kentucky resident won $50,000 in lottery using numbers from a fortune cookie, reports UPI.

As Katie Bailey explained, she decided to use the numbers from a fortune cookie that her daughter ate and use these figures in a lottery ticket. The notification of the win came as a complete surprise to the woman. While sitting at her laptop, she saw a pop-up window with the inscription "Winner" and the amount of $50,000. According to the American, it took her a few seconds to comprehend what had happened.

"It was too difficult to digest, I had to check twice to make sure I wasn't delirious," Katie shared her emotions.

The winnings came at just the right time: Bailey's husband plans to retire in December, and the extra funds will help the family better prepare for the future.

"We've already taken care of the house, van, and truck, so this will just be a nice addition to our savings," Katie noted.
