Blood type identified whose carriers are mostly long-livers

Scientists have discovered which blood type is most common among long-lived people. According to new research, people with type O blood (0) have a higher chance of living to an advanced age.
Specialists analyzed data from several thousand people over 90 years old and found that among them, the largest number were those with type O blood. Researchers believe this may be related to the genetic resistance of such people to a number of diseases, including cardiovascular ailments and certain types of cancer.
In addition, it has previously been noted that people with type O blood are less likely to develop blood clots and have better functioning immune systems, which also contributes to a healthier and longer lifestyle.
However, scientists emphasize that blood type is just one of many factors affecting life expectancy. Heredity, lifestyle, diet, and physical activity remain key elements of healthy longevity.
The study continues to examine the relationship between human biological characteristics and predisposition to longevity.
