Woman in Sumgayit was blackmailed with her photographs

A man who blackmailed a woman with her photographs was detained in Sumgayit.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Elshad Hajiyev, the police protected a woman who was being blackmailed with her own photographs at the last moment.

According to Hajiyev, 26-year-old N.Kerimov took his criminal actions to a dangerous level. He threatened a 39-year-old woman with spreading defamatory information about her on social networks and thus took possession of a certain amount of money and jewelry. However, seeing that the victim continued to give money at his request, the perpetrator began to increase the requested amounts.

Hajiyev urged citizens to contact the police in a timely manner. "Each such incident can lead to serious consequences. Women especially should be vigilant," he noted.
