Warning: scammers are using the Ramadan holiday to steal banking data

Cybercriminals now deceive citizens under the guise of "Ramadan Month" promotion.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Xəzər TV, in recent days, a website has been created in the name of a well-known bank, through which phishing messages are being sent to citizens.
The SMS distribution before the Ramadan and Novruz holidays offers money on favorable terms, as well as gifts. To receive the promised amount, users are asked to enter their banking and other personal data on the presented fake website.
Cybercriminals have created the process so professionally that it does not raise suspicions among citizens. Information technology specialist Emrah Movsumzade says that using this method, cybercriminals can easily appropriate money from people's card accounts.
The expert recommends that when receiving such messages on behalf of any company or organization, first contact this institution or visit the official website of the organization to verify the authenticity of the information.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) also advises citizens not to trust such promises and not to follow suspicious links.
Note that in order not to become a victim of cybercriminals, it is primarily necessary to keep personal information secret.
