The Ministry of Emergency Situations Appeals to the Public Again

Our people solemnly celebrate the Novruz holiday. However, during the traditional events on this day, there are cases of disregard for fire safety rules, especially when making bonfires, which ultimately leads to undesirable consequences.

This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan.

It is noted that as a result of non-compliance with fire safety rules, 19 fires were registered during Ilahir chershenbe alone.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations once again reminded that bonfires should be lit away from buildings, cars, electrical wires, trees and any flammable materials. Children gathering around the bonfire should be supervised by adults.

"Be careful when jumping over the bonfire, make sure that after the celebration the fire is completely extinguished," the statement says.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations also urged citizens not to leave burning candles unattended on festive tables.
