Billionaire and Amazon founder got married in Venice: the loudest wedding of the year

In Venice, the city of canals and romance, one of the most talked-about events of the year took place - the wedding of Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos (net worth - $216 billion) and American actress, journalist, and writer Lauren Sanchez.
This was not just a ceremony, but a grand three-day celebration that attracted the attention of global media, celebrities, and, of course, local residents.
Lauren Sanchez, as reported by Italian media, changed 27 dresses from the most luxurious brands over the three days. The couple declined traditional gifts, asking guests to make donations to social and environmental projects instead. Guests were presented with gift sets featuring products from local artisans, including sweets from Venice's oldest confectionery Rosa Salva and famous glass items from Murano Island.

According to estimates by the governor of the Veneto region, Luca Zaia, the organization costs amounted to 48 million euros. About 80% of services were provided by local Venetian companies, ensuring a substantial contribution to the city's economy. Five of the most expensive hotels in Venice were completely booked, as well as approximately one-fifth of all water taxis.
Italian media report that about 95 private planes arrived in Venice. The guest list deserves special mention - it was a true gallery of celebrities: Kim, Khloe, Kendall Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, Kris Jenner, Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates.
