From national pride to victory: the path of the Azerbaijani army through the eyes of a Hero of the Patriotic War

The Azerbaijani army did not reach its current level in one day. In difficult years, when our people went through severe trials, the army fought hard battles. Although we had little equipment, we were saved by national spirit and pride. This is what led us from those difficult days to victory.

This was stated by Hero of the Patriotic War Zaur Huseynov in an interview with Baku TV on the occasion of June 26 - Armed Forces Day.

He especially noted the high professionalism of the Azerbaijani army.

"The combat readiness of our army was clearly demonstrated in the April battles. These battles became the first steps towards the Patriotic War. In subsequent years, the army continued to develop, and on September 27, 2020, it delivered crushing blows to the enemy during the counteroffensive operation. The enemy did not expect such a level of resistance," he shared.
