New details of a horrific incident involving torture of a three-year-old girl in Baku

Earlier, a video spread on social networks showing a 23-year-old woman beating and torturing her 3-year-old daughter. The footage caused widespread public outcry.

According to the girl's guardian Jamila Nasirova, the child's father is drug-dependent, and the mother, Fatima Ramazanova, has been detained by law enforcement. According to her, a young man named Roma was also involved in the abuse of the child.

"Fatima's friend published footage of Melek's torture on TikTok. My son wrote to her and asked to delete this video because the girl's face was visible. In response, he was told that Roma had burned Melek's stomach and hands. She was beaten by both her mother and this Roma," said J. Nasirova.

The chairwoman of the public association "Children of Azerbaijan" Kamala Aghazade reported that despite serious injuries, the girl's condition is assessed as satisfactory.

"Thank God, Melek has no fractures, but there are severe injuries on her body, face and head, tissue damage and an open wound. She is now under the supervision of teachers and caregivers," noted K. Aghazade.
