A shocking incident occurred in the Jalilabad district of Azerbaijan, when a 34-year-old man, pronounced dead, turned out to be alive after being delivered to the morgue.

As it became known, Khayal Guliyev (born 1991), a resident of the Tahirli village in Jalilabad district, was found in his home showing no signs of life. After an initial examination, the man was pronounced dead and sent to the district department of the Association of Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy.

However, at the morgue, medical workers were surprised to discover that Guliyev was not dead but in a comatose state. The man was immediately taken to the Jalilabad Central District Hospital and placed in the intensive care unit.

The Association for Management of Medical Territorial Units (TƏBİB) reported that the patient was hospitalized around 12:00 with a diagnosis of mechanical asphyxiation. He was provided with the necessary medical care.

According to the latest data from TƏBİB, Khayal Guliyev's condition has stabilized, and his treatment is currently continuing in the intensive care unit. The circumstances of the incident that led to the erroneous conclusion about the man's death are being investigated.
