In Azerbaijan, these individuals will receive 200 manats monthly

As part of the social package aimed at strengthening social welfare, the increase in the minimum wage has led to growth in a number of benefits and scholarships. One such increase affected scholarships for vocational education students.
According to BAKU.WS, under current legislation, the scholarship amount for vocational education students is 50 percent of the minimum wage. Previously, when the minimum wage was 345 manats, the scholarship equaled 172.5 manats. However, with the increase in the minimum wage to 400 manats in 2024, this figure has also grown. Now vocational education students receive a monthly scholarship of 200 manats, which is 14 percent higher than the previous amount.
The increase in scholarships will contribute to growing interest in vocational education, improving the financial situation of students, and allowing them to focus more on their studies. This step will also support the development of vocational education in the country and positively impact the training of qualified personnel in the future.
Additionally, in accordance with the head of state's directive on increasing other scholarships and social benefits, the Cabinet of Ministers will present relevant proposals in the second half of March. These proposals are expected to include increases in benefits and scholarships for other social categories.
The social support measures implemented by the state are aimed at improving the welfare of citizens, and more extensive steps in this direction are expected in the near future.
