How and in what amount should zakat al-fitr be paid?
Muslims around the world on March 30 celebrate one of the most significant holidays in Islam - Ramadan. This sacred month is a time of spiritual purification, fasting, prayer, and good deeds.
One of the important duties of every Muslim during this period is to pay Zakat al-Fitr - a mandatory charity that must be fulfilled before the holiday celebration.
The leadership of Muslims of the Caucasus recommends paying Fitr in monetary form, taking into account the basic needs of a person for food. The sufficient amount is considered to be 10-15 manats.
It is worth remembering that all Muslims who have the material ability to do so are obligated to pay Zakat al-Fitr.
