Fire in a multi-story building in Baku: 12 people evacuated

The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received a report via the "112" hotline about a fire in a residential building on E.Suleymanov Street in the Nizami district of Baku.

As reported to BAKU.WS by the ministry, the appropriate forces of the State Fire Service, Special Risk Rescue Service, and Baku Regional Center of the MES were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Thanks to the prompt intervention of firefighters, the fire that occurred in an apartment on the 15th floor of a 19-story residential building was quickly contained and extinguished, despite the windy weather, which prevented its spread.

As a result of the fire, combustible structures and the balcony of a one-room apartment with a total area of 76 sq.m were burned. The area of the fire was 16 sq.m. As part of safety measures, rescuers evacuated 12 residents of the building. Most of the affected apartment and other apartments were protected from the fire.
