Azerbaijani doctors reveal the terrible truth about flu powders

Powder medications are commonly used in treating flu and cold due to their pain-relieving and fever-reducing effects, making them popular among patients.
Pharmacist Saida Panakhova notes that powder medications are the most popular. However, according to her, some patients misuse them by taking them every 2-3 hours, while the interval between doses should be at least 5 hours.
Meanwhile, therapist Subhan Hajiyev warns about potential risks. He notes that several powders, such as "Nimesil," are banned in some countries due to containing nimesulide, which can lead to serious complications. Additionally, such medications can be dangerous for people prone to allergies.
"Uncontrolled use of these medications can negatively affect the liver, kidneys, and gastrointestinal tract. Therefore, it's important not to take them without consulting a doctor," Hajiyev emphasized.
