Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey exceeded $3.2 billion in the first eight months of 2026.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov at a joint press briefing with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in Baku.

According to the Foreign Minister, cooperation between the two countries is developing within the framework of special bilateral mechanisms.

"Interaction is carried out within the framework of the Strategic Cooperation Council, political consultations, the economic cooperation commission, and other platforms," he noted.

Bayramov also highly praised the activities of Turkish companies in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.

The minister emphasized that at the current stage, Baku and Ankara are implementing projects with great potential, designed for the coming decades.

"Among them, it is worth noting the project for transporting renewable energy produced in Azerbaijan across the Black Sea with the participation of Turkey, as well as the construction of a new energy cable that will connect Nakhchivan with Turkey. These projects have enormous potential not only for Azerbaijan and Turkey, but also for the European market," Bayramov said.
