The US House of Representatives rejected anti-Azerbaijani amendments

The US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee rejected two amendments to bills being considered as part of the US State Department reauthorization process.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, both acts were clearly anti-Azerbaijani in nature, and were prepared by California Democratic congressman Brad Sherman, who has long been under the influence of the Armenian lobby.
The first amendment provided for a ban on the US International Development Finance Corporation from providing any support to projects in Azerbaijan, and the second proposed to cancel the US President's authority to suspend Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act, which prohibits US assistance to Azerbaijan.
The rejection of both amendments is another blow to the Armenian lobby in Congress, which opposes US President Donald Trump's initiative to establish peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The US State Department Reauthorization process is an annual process during which the US Congress reviews, clarifies, and extends the legal powers and organizational structure of the State Department.
