Jeyhun Bayramov discussed regional agenda issues with the EU Commissioner

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with European Commission (EC) Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, who is visiting our country.
This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
It is noted that current issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union were discussed at the meeting.
The importance of high-level contacts in strengthening relations, which are of particular importance for the development of bilateral ties, was noted.
In particular, the importance of further expanding cooperation in the areas of energy security, transport routes, as well as renewable energy was emphasized. Along with this, the importance of Azerbaijan's cooperation with the EU in addressing climate change and environmental pollution was noted.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also provided the European Commissioner with information about the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period.
Special satisfaction was expressed with the agreements reached by Azerbaijan and Armenia during the historic meeting held last month in Washington. It was noted that our country, being the initiator of the normalization process, will continue its efforts to advance the peace agenda in the region.
During the meeting, there was also an exchange of views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
