A major scandal has erupted in the USA around 20-year-old musician d4vd (David Anthony Burke) - the remains of a girl who disappeared a year ago were found in his car, while the artist himself was on tour.

According to foreign media, when the singer went on tour, his Tesla was found abandoned in Hollywood Hills (Los Angeles) and sent to an impound lot. Later, after complaints about a strong odor coming from the car, police opened it and discovered packages with dismembered human remains in the trunk. The victim was identified as 13-year-old Celeste Rivas, who disappeared on April 5, 2024. Her identity was confirmed, in part by a Shhh... tattoo on her finger - the same one that d4vd has. The girl's mother had told police during the search that Celeste had a boyfriend named David.

The story has caused widespread public outcry. The singer's fans began their own investigation and discovered that hints of the crime had repeatedly appeared in his songs. For example, in one of his main hits Romantic Homicide, which premiered on Celeste's birthday, there are lines: "Deep down I killed you and I didn't even regret it. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it's true, I hate you." Additionally, in 2023, a composition titled Celeste was leaked online, where the artist addressed a girl in a negative manner.

D4vd himself is refraining from comments and has canceled his tour. According to the Mirror, he is cooperating with the investigation.

The musician rose to fame about three years ago thanks to tracks Here with Me and Romantic Homicide, which went viral on TikTok and opened the way for him to sign contracts with major labels. His songs have appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and the artist became a favorite of fashion brands - he frequently appeared at shows and even performed at Valentino shows. However, now, amid the scandal, companies Crocs and Hollister have excluded him from their advertising campaigns.
