Secretary General of the OTS: Turkic States Must Work Together in the Defense Industry Sector

"Turkic states must work together in the field of defense industry."

As APA reports, this was stated to journalists by the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliev after the second meeting of heads of defense industry structures of the OTS member states, held within the framework of the ADEX-2026 exhibition.

He noted that in conditions where various wars and confrontations are taking place in the world, the expansion of cooperation among Turkic states in the field of defense industry is acquiring particular significance.

"When we are together, we are strong. This is one of more than 65 areas of cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States. In this context, today's meeting is very important," the Secretary General noted.

Kubanychbek Omuraliev stated that the meeting of representatives of Turkic states within the framework of the ADEX-2026 exhibition and the determination of a roadmap for cooperation in the field of defense industry is an important step.

According to him, the roadmap reflects not only defense industry matters but also issues of cooperation in the field of personnel training.

The Secretary General also emphasized the significance of the experience acquired by Azerbaijan in the Patriotic War from the standpoint of developing the defense industry of Turkic states.

"The victory achieved by brotherly Azerbaijan in this war is significant not only for one Turkic state but for the entire Turkic world. We always say this. As President Ilham Aliyev said, the Turkic world is our world. The victory achieved by Azerbaijan is a very important example for every country of the Turkic world," he added.
