Israeli Elbit Systems offers to localize production of its products in Azerbaijan

Israel's largest private defense corporation Elbit Systems is offering to localize the production of its products in Azerbaijan jointly with local partners.

This was stated to Report by Senior Vice President and Head of Regional Business Development at Elbit Systems Miki Levin on the sidelines of the ADEX-2026 exhibition in Baku.

According to him, the company closely cooperates with Azerbaijan and is considering opportunities for further expansion of interaction.

Levin noted that the relationship with Azerbaijan has already gone beyond purely business cooperation.

"This is our closest customer, and today already a friend. Therefore, the areas of cooperation are constantly expanding," he said.

Levin named the localization of Elbit Systems product manufacturing jointly with partners in Azerbaijan as one of the main areas of cooperation. It is expected that the products will be intended for the domestic market, the region, and other countries.

The company also considers the digitalization of the Azerbaijani army as one of the key areas of cooperation. According to Levin, the sides are on the verge of beginning this work.

Among other promising areas, he highlighted rocket artillery, including the localization of its production, as well as loitering munitions.
