Kamran Aliyev participated in the meeting of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS countries

Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev is on an official visit to Russia.

As reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, on September 30, the delegation headed by Kamran Aliyev participated in the 36th meeting of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS member states in Kazan.

The meeting addressed issues of cooperation between prosecutorial bodies of CIS countries, combating crime, ensuring legality and the rule of law, as well as international legal cooperation.

Kamran Aliyev spoke on the topic of modern challenges and new solutions in the field of asset recovery from abroad, noting the importance of expanding international cooperation and improving practical mechanisms.

During the visit, Kamran Aliyev met with Prosecutor General of Russia Alexander Gutsan. The parties discussed issues of legal assistance in specific criminal cases. Following the meeting, a Cooperation Program between the Prosecutor General's Offices of Azerbaijan and Russia for 2027–2028 was signed.

As part of the event, a roundtable of heads of military prosecutor's offices of CIS states and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation was held. Deputy Prosecutor General and Military Prosecutor of Azerbaijan Bakhruz Akhmedov also held bilateral meetings with the military prosecutors of Russia and China.
