Pashinyan revealed the further fate of the detained Azerbaijani soldier
The Azerbaijani soldier who infiltrated the village of Sheki (Zangezur) will serve at least part of his sentence in Armenia.
As reported by Armenian media, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a government hour in the parliament of the Republic of Armenia, answering a question from Andranik Gevorkyan, a deputy from the "Strong Armenia" bloc.
He emphasized that all legal procedures must be carried out regarding this incident.
"An investigation must be conducted, the case must go to court, which will issue a verdict. After that, he must serve at least part of the sentence in Armenia," the prime minister stated.
Pashinyan added that children first approached the house where the Azerbaijani soldier was located and saw a stranger there. They told their mother about it. After that, the woman called the police but decided to go to the site herself and arrived there before the police.
"This is a classic criminal story. If they had waited for the police, nothing would have happened," Pashinyan stated.
As a reminder, on October 1 at 14:15 local time (which coincides with Baku time — ed.), Azerbaijani soldier Nasimi Musayev was detained by Armenia's security agencies. The serviceman, who had crossed the border under unknown circumstances in the area near the Zangezur village of Sheki, was arrested for 2 months.
