Paris capitulated in Shusha

Last week, a significant event took place that was awaited with special interest in Azerbaijan. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Azerbaijan, Anne Boillon, visited the city of Shusha for the first time as part of a delegation of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.
This is reported in the latest issue of the analytical YouTube project Caliber.
"Indeed, I feel an enormous sense of joy being here. I know that Shusha holds a special place for Azerbaijan, as this city is a symbol of culture and art. Additionally, Shusha has given the world many famous people," she stated in an interview with local journalists in Shusha. Boillon added that she was impressed by the scale of restoration and construction work being carried out in the Karabakh region.
Notably, the French ambassador's visit is viewed as an important diplomatic step. Until this moment, French diplomats had refrained from participating in such trips, which was perceived as an implicit non-recognition of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty. Political observers link Paris's previous position to the influence of the half-million-strong Armenian diaspora in France, whose electoral support was important for President Macron in the last elections.
