Chancellor: Germany Takes Seriously the Expansion of Relations with Azerbaijan

By signing the Joint Declaration today, we are laying an important foundation for the further development of our relations. At the same time, we have agreed to establish an Azerbaijan-Germany Business Council.

As reported by AZERTAG, this was stated by Federal Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz at a press conference with President Ilham Aliyev.

The Chancellor noted that this is an important signal for both countries, and Germany takes the expansion of relations with Azerbaijan seriously.

"Against the backdrop of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, our cooperation in the field of oil supplies, as well as gas through the Southern Gas Corridor, is of particular importance," Friedrich Merz emphasized.
