As reported by AZERTAC, this was stated by Federal Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz at a press conference with President Ilham Aliyev.

Congratulating President Ilham Aliyev on the initialing of the peace treaty, the Chancellor noted: "The mentioned treaty was initialed by Azerbaijan and Armenia. This historic treaty provides a new chance to finally overcome the protracted conflict."
