Independence Day marked in São Paulo with special light projection
A light projection and visual show against the backdrop of the colors of the Azerbaijani flag were presented in the Brazilian city of São Paulo.
As reported by AZERTAJ, this project, implemented on the initiative and with the support of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Brazil, was carried out in various formats at two key locations in the eponymous capital of the state of São Paulo, combining modernity and historicity.
On the famous FIESP skyscrapers, located on Paulista Avenue - the busiest and most crowded center of the city - a video was displayed reflecting the ancient history, rich culture, as well as the national cuisine and captivating nature of Azerbaijan. The display of the light projection of our tricolor flag was accompanied by a scrolling text in Portuguese: "May 28 - Independence Day of Azerbaijan." The FIESP skyscrapers unite 130,000 companies and 131 associations, contributing to approximately 23% of Brazil's GDP, which is estimated at 2.5 trillion US dollars.
Another event related to the celebration of Azerbaijan's Independence Day was organized with the participation of the Executive Council of the city of São Paulo. Thus, the city's famous modern architectural and cultural landmarks - the cable-stayed bridge "Octávio Frias de Oliveira" and the "Mário de Andrade" library - were illuminated in the colors of the Azerbaijani flag from the evening of May 28 until dawn.
Azerbaijan's Independence Day was celebrated for the first time with such a visual-digital display in São Paulo, which is considered the largest metropolis and the leading business and financial center not only of Brazil but of the entire Latin American region.
Earlier, as the first part of a cycle of events, a concert by the renowned Azerbaijani pianist, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Nargiz Aliyarova, was organized at the National Theater of Brazil in the capital Brasília with the support of the embassy.
