The Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council of Azerbaijanis (EAPCA) has sent an appeal to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives of the Dutch Parliament regarding yet another biased and one-sided resolution against Azerbaijan, adopted by the chamber on April 16 of this year in The Hague.

Report was informed about this by the head of EAPCA, Sahil Gasimov.

He noted that on May 26 he submitted an official appeal to the Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Dutch Parliament, Arjen Westerhoff, and the Foreign Affairs Secretary, Jennifer Richardson.

The appeal states that the Dutch Parliament has once again demonstrated a position far removed from the principles of objectivity, norms of international law, and a fair approach, and has addressed the processes taking place in the region selectively, through the prism of political interests.

The document notes that Azerbaijan has ensured its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and internationally recognized borders, and has taken consistent steps toward establishing lasting peace and cooperation in the region.

According to Gasimov, the appeal also emphasized that the Dutch Parliament's application of double standards toward Azerbaijan contradicts international law.

"Such documents, regularly adopted by the Dutch Parliament against Azerbaijan, have already taken on the character of a targeted campaign. Such biased resolutions, adopted at such a time, further embolden revanchist forces. EAPCA calls on the Dutch Parliament to accept the new realities that have emerged in the South Caucasus and conveys the voice of Azerbaijanis living in this geographic region," he noted.
