European Championship: Azerbaijan national team advances to the playoffs

The Azerbaijan futsal national team has secured a spot in the playoffs of the European Championship, which is being held in Slovakia.

As Report informs, Elshad Guliyev's squad defeated the Italian national team in their second match in Group F.

The match at the Tipos Arena ended with a victory for the Azerbaijan national team - 3:0. The goals were scored by Ravan Karimov, Vusal Isayev, and Ruzigar Ibrahimzade.

Thus, the Azerbaijan team advanced to the playoffs of the tournament.

In the other Group match, France defeated Austria - 3:1.

It should be recalled that the Azerbaijani national team, which had secured a narrow victory over Austria the day before (1:0), will face France on May 30. Currently, the team from Azerbaijan leads Group F with 6 points. France is in second place (4 points), Italy is third (1 point), and Austria, having lost both matches, occupies the last place.
