Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked Azerbaijan for the gifted tanker "Dostlug"

Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, who is on a visit to the country.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was announced by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

M. Jabbarov conveyed sincere greetings from President Ilham Aliyev to G. Berdimuhamedov.

In turn, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan expressed best wishes to the President of Azerbaijan and noted the importance of the steadily deepening cooperation between the two friendly states. He noted that ties between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan are developing on the basis of traditional principles of mutual respect.

During the meeting, it was noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening relations of friendship, brotherhood, and good neighborliness with Azerbaijan.

The importance of the state visit of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Azerbaijan, which took place last month, was discussed. G. Berdimuhamedov once again expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani side for the oil tanker "Dostlug" (Friendship), presented as a gift to Turkmenistan during the visit.
