Erdogan and Macron discussed the situation in the South Caucasus
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.

The conversation took place at the initiative of the French side.
"During the conversation, the parties discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and France, the Ukrainian-Russian war, as well as regional and global agenda issues. In addition, the current situation in the South Caucasus, Gaza Strip and Syria was discussed," the report says.
President Erdogan noted the importance of developing cooperation between Turkey and France, emphasizing that steps in this direction are continuing.
"He also reported on the maximum efforts that Turkey is making to end the war between Ukraine and Russia and establish a fair and lasting peace. Erdogan said that contacts with the parties continue to resume the Istanbul process and expressed Turkey's readiness to do everything possible to open the door to peace as soon as possible," the information says.
