A joint declaration has been signed between Azerbaijan and Germany

A Joint Declaration on the Strategic Agenda of Bilateral Partnership has been signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Republic of Germany.

As reported by AZERTAC, the document was signed on the Azerbaijani side by President Ilham Aliyev, and on the German side by Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

The Joint Declaration on the Strategic Agenda of Bilateral Partnership states:

"The Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Republic of Germany (hereinafter referred to as the "Parties") note the longstanding and friendly relations between the Parties. They reaffirm their mutual aspiration to deepen bilateral partnership and cooperation based on mutual trust and convergence of interests in various areas. Referring to their respect for each other's state sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, the Parties reaffirm their joint commitment to the Charter of the United Nations, the Helsinki Final Act, the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, as well as other international legal instruments contributing to the strengthening of peace and security.
