On March 20, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

As reported by BAKU.WS, Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated President Ilham Aliyev and the brotherly Azerbaijani people on the Novruz holiday, wishing our people prosperity and happiness.

Thanking for the congratulations, the head of our state, in turn, conveyed congratulations to the President of Uzbekistan and the brotherly Uzbek people on the occasion of the Novruz holiday, which embodies our common culture, national and spiritual values, customs and traditions, and wished abundance and prosperity.

During the telephone conversation, satisfaction was expressed with the successful development of Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan strategic alliance relations stemming from the will of the two brotherly peoples in all spheres, the consistent implementation of tasks set by the heads of state, and the implementation of joint projects aimed at strengthening cooperation. In this context, the growth of trade turnover, projects implemented in the field of mechanical engineering, textile industry, electrical engineering, energy, agriculture, tourism, and many other areas were noted.

The Presidents of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and future contacts.
