Deputies from "Civil Contract" and "Strong Armenia" got into a fight in the Armenian parliament, BAKU.WS reports citing Armenian media.

Tensions flared after Speaker Ruben Rubinyan interrupted the speech of Edgar Kazaryan, a member of the opposition "Strong Armenia" party, who had accused the head of the National Assembly of misusing state funds. Rubinyan stated that Kazaryan's speech was beyond the scope of the agenda and did not allow him to finish.

After that, "Civil Contract" deputy Vahe Galumyan got up from his seat and went to confront the opposition. He shoved "Strong Armenia" deputy Vaginak Vartanov several times, after which a scuffle broke out. Speaker Ruben Rubinyan announced a recess, and security personnel intervened.

The tensions could not be quickly calmed. The deputies continued their confrontation, but this time in a verbal altercation, in the corridor.
