One-time financial assistance was paid to persons who participated in World War II in 1941-1945, to widows of soldiers who died or passed away later, as well as to persons awarded with orders and medals for selfless work in the rear.
This is reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
In accordance with the order of President Ilham Aliyev, the ministry paid each participant of World War II a one-time financial assistance in the amount of 2,500 manats in connection with the 80th anniversary of the victory in World War II.
Widows of World War II soldiers who died or passed away later, persons awarded with orders and medals for selfless work in the rear during that period, employees of special formations who performed tasks in the interests of the army and navy in the rear, persons awarded with the corresponding medal and badge for the defense of Leningrad during World War II, as well as participants of the Leningrad blockade were paid a one-time financial assistance in the amount of 1,250 manats each.
The order covered a total of 2,340 people, including World War II participants and other relevant persons, and the one-time financial assistance was transferred to their bank accounts.
