Zelensky revealed how much Ukraine spends per year on the war
A year of waging war costs Ukraine $120 billion, so for 2026 two scenarios are being considered: finding the necessary funds or ending the conflict.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to "RBC-Ukraine," this was stated by the country's President Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola in Kyiv.
According to him, half of the amount - $60 billion - is covered by the Ukrainian budget, and the remaining part needs to be found. "I hope that we will be able to end the war. Plan 'A' is to stop the fighting. Plan 'B' is $120 billion, and this is a huge challenge," Zelensky noted.
In turn, Roberta Metsola emphasized that the European Union intends to continue supporting Ukraine: "You will never be alone on this path. We will only strengthen our determination and assistance."
Earlier, the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andrey Gnatov, reported that one day of full-scale combat operations costs Ukraine approximately $172 million.
